Tomorrow – Workers’ Memorial Day!

27 04 2012

Union workplaces are safer workplaces!

Tomorrow is such an important day – let’s hope it is nice and dry, but bring your brolly or raincoat just in case. We really should design some NSTUC rain ponchos or umbrellas!

Supporters should meet at the CWU offices in Lindsay Street at 11.15 where there will be parking and refreshments and then walk united to Bethesda Street, where there will be speakers and a ceremony at 11.45 at the Workers’ Memorial Tree outside the Potteries Museum.

There will also be a free refreshments stall; a Hazards Campaign stall with free purple “forget-me-knot” ribbons, stickers and reasonably-priced “We Didn’t Vote To Die at Work” t-shirts (£6.00 each, small, large and XL – other sizes can be ordered), plus a stall of Zaytoun Palestinian artisan produce http://www.zaytoun.org/
