Don’t forget to book for the event on Tuesday!

7 10 2012

As it gets close to our joint event with the pensioners’ convention which will take place on Tuesday evening, this is just a quick reminder to reserve a place. Though it is fine to turn up on the night, those who have booked seats will take priority. So in case it’s a really busy evening, it is best to book if you can. Either way, the event is free. Email northstaffstuc@gmail.com or leave an answerphone message at 01782 201728 to book a place.

Join Mark Serwotka  (General Secretary, Public and Commercial Services Union); Simon Harris (Chief Executive of Stoke-on-Trent Citizens’ Advice); Dot Gibson (General Secretary, National Pensioners Convention); Roger Seifert (Professor of Industrial Relations, University of Wolverhampton); and Jenny Harvey (Secretary of North Staffordshire Community Health Branch, Unison) in exploring the alternatives to austerity and how we can bring about a fairer North Staffordshire.

The debate will be chaired by Andrew Lloyd, Vice Chair of the Midlands Trades Union Congress.

All funds raised on the night through collections will go to the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.
