April 5th, 6.30 – NHS & Social Care meeting

25 03 2013

Join Tristram Hunt (MP for Stoke-on-Trent Central), Christina McAnea (UNISON National Secretary for Health), Julie Bailey (Cure the NHS) and Janet Smallwood (North Staffs Pensioners’ Convention campaigner) to debate how we can work towards a fairer health and social care system – one that is about people not profit, about care and compassion not costs and corporate self-interest.

This event is jointly organised by the North Staffs Trades Council and the North Staffs Pensioners’ Convention and follows on from our first Fairer North Staffs public meeting last October.

All welcome and admission is free (a collection for the local Dougie Mac hospice will be made on the night).

There will be plenty of time for questions and comments from the floor, so please come with any that you have for the speakers and audience. If you’d prefer to have the chair read out your question, please submit it in advance (by 4th April) to northstaffstuc@gmail.com
